Help for an arriving La Trobe student family

Hello,
My son Clint has recently completed his duties with the US Navy Submarine Service and has been accepted to study at La Trobe University in Melbourne. He's looking for affordable temporary lodging on arrival next week, and then hoping to find a rental in the area for himself, wife and my grandaughter.
If you have any connections or contacts in the area that might be of assistance, we would appreciate a PM or email message to [email protected]

Thank you,

Dan King

Re: Help for an arriving La Trobe student family

Hi Dan,
I went to LaTrobe Uni a number of years ago (did my law there)...it is a great uni. Have you had any luck yet with accommodation?

If not, are you looking for something close to the uni or the city? (the uni is about 30 kms out from Melbourne CBD)

Cheers,

Ian

Re: Help for an arriving La Trobe student family

Happy New Year Ian! Clint has found a nice house in Hurstbridge. He will be studying law at LaTrobe and his wife will be in the nursing program. They are working out the details of getting their household cleared through customs. From what I can see on Google Earth it looks like a nice area.
Thanks for the response.

Dan
