Re: KonTourSeat

I've never owned one of Ron's seats, Many here swear by them.

I can only speak of him from my experience here on the board.

Based on that alone I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him...

( If I wasn't such a cheap bastidge.)

Re: KonTourSeat

This is my first Post, what a great site.
Gee thanks for the quick response.
I ride an adventure, mostly loaded rite up there & after about four days you need to do one in the pegs, lack of riding of corse, but I do have plans.
YES, I will try & organise to have my seat shipped over water to Ron.
Thank you all for your time in responding.
Regards Shorts.

Ron? Ron who? Do we know a Ron?? heh heh..

I do not have one of his saddles, but have heard a very high percentage of good reviews, as you have already seen above.

Re: KonTourSeat

G'day Tony.
I researched a fair bit and went with a Rick Mayer conversion (leather cover & seat rebuild)..... very happy with the seat (not cheap) but at least I don't have to think about a sore butt any more... worst part was communication, but got there in the end.
If I recall correctly, the only thing that bothered me about Ron's seat was a few comments that it got pretty hard in cold weather until it warmed up, I think due to the foam (a bit like the memory foam pillows, and I use one of them, it's always hard in winter...).
Ron's not backward with his communication though, posts plenty.....!!
Check all the photo's around, it helps to look at the profiles for what you think might be comfortable.
cheers
