Re: the Perfect Ride

Unfortunately I am working again when the Snowy Mountain ride is on, maybe next year my shifts will allow me that weekend off.

Wink Re: the Perfect Ride - We are back

G'day Everyone,

Had a great weekend ride, we covered 1380km of sheer bliss. Had one major problem, my mate on his K1200S took a 6 inch nail in the rear tyre, new tyre too. Had this happen in Yea. We managed to plug this but he returned home as we did not trust it for the mountains. Spent the first night in Beechworth, Simone arranged a house for us to accommodate 6 of us. Worked well and the accommodation was brilliant. Saturday it was off to the alpine. Stopped at a nice coffee spot on the way into Corryong and then headed up the Elliot way to Cabramurra, Brilliant lunch their with good hospitality. Took the road to Khancoban and then onto Bright. We arrived a little late but got a god meal at the hotel. The accommodation was ok nothing special hear and I don't think we will stay at the coach house again.
Had Breakfast on Sunday at the Pumkin Harvest Bakery in Mrytlerford. If you head up this way, put this place on a essential coffee or breakfast stop, This would be one of the best Ive been to. Arrived home Sunday late afternoon after coming through Tolmie and Mansfield. Absolutely brilliant weekend.
We may repeat this for my mate seeing how he missed the best part of the trip.
