Scala Rider Q2 Bluetooth Headset

Hi

Should have asked this question before purchasing.

I have a Starcom1 (advance) fitted on my 2003LT and recently purchased a Starcom Bluetooth module. Problem was that still needed the Helmet headset to be connected to the Starcom. Hate the wires and such connecting from helmet to Starcom so purchased a Scala Rider Q2 Bluetooth Headset from MrGadget.com.au. Item should arrive in 3 days time.

My enquiry is, has any of you purchased this item and how do they preform?

Regards

Graham W

Re: Scala Rider Q2 Bluetooth Headset

No, but check the "similar threads" below, or Intercomm or GPS forums... I"ve read a number of posts (mainly US posts I think) about Bluetooth headsets etc etc before.. there's a few guys out there with them, someone must have it sorted and a feel for their value. I've not been game to go Bluetooth yet, and stick with the cable. I don't find it much of a hassle.
Let us know how you're system works out though. Mine will be due for an upgrade in the next 12 months or so.

Re: Scala Rider Q2 Bluetooth Headset

I and my S.O. used the Scala Rider Q2 for the first time on a 9 day trip. We found that they worked very well for intercom use, the system paired to my Zumo good, and I used the phone several times while moving down the slab at 75 for incoming and outgoing calls, they came in very clear especially when connecting to land lines. The sound from the MP3 player via bluetooth, is so/so, and I did not figure out how to use the radio, although I was in areas that did not have much for reception for radio. I had no problem with them keeping charged for a full day use. Only twice did they drop reception, but paired up instantly after turning the power off and re-starting them.
I like not having to fool with cords, especially with a passenger. I would give them a thumbs up..
