Talking New LT and new to the group

Hi to all

Just wanted to drop you a line and say hi to all and that we have just picked up our new 2008 LT in April. Have just had two weeks off and done a tour of the south west of WA with my wife. We headed away on a sunday and traveled via Wave Rock to Esperence and then Jerramungup, Mt Barker, Denmark, Pemberton and then home unfortunately due to thunderstorms and totally terrible weather in the lower south coast area. We traveled just over 2200kms and had a fantastic time over the 9 days we were away and could not be happier with the bike. Certainly glad i went the BMW route insteda of the Goldwing i rode. My wife had never been to alot of thee places and it was our firts trip ever on a bike together, we will be doing many more. Anyway just a hello to everyone here.

Kind regards

John

Re: New LT and new to the group

Hi John,
Welcome to you and your wife to the wonderful world of BMW LT's
Bully and I ride with the Ulysses branch at Armadale W.A. most Sundays.
We've at present three members who have the pleasure of LT life and all thoroughly enjoy our riding.
My wife had no previous bike experience until she was introduced to the LT,
We're now on our second. I'm not even allowed to go and fill the girl and I'm questioned as to where I'm off too!
You'll enjoy this forum, as there's plenty of fantastic hints and suggestions
to assist the bloke who is prepared to help himself.

Re: New LT and new to the group

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, I have been reading heaps on this forum and thanks for the tip Bruce, I'm certainly someone who likes to help himself around the bike and i've found heaps of useful info here. I have already fitted a dice unit for the Ipod which involved all of the radio out etc and because the '08 no longer has the Cd changer it lacks the harness out of the back of the CD as well. I managed to get a used harness off ebay and fitted it all up, as well as fitting the aux input harness at the same time. Found that the lower riders pegs that i fitted to the bike from Suburban machinery really helped as well.

Thanks for the help and welcome so far and i actually live in Bedfordale Bruce so less than a good stones throw from the Armadale boys, unfortunately i've still got a year to go before the Junior membership can kick in but i will call you to catch up anyway.

Talk to you all soon

John
