Re: new trailer

G'day Linton,
I have been thinking about getting one of these for some time now...even have the tow bar fitted and ready to go...

Would really like to hear your thoughts about how you find it when towing and a bit of a review (and pictures please) of setting up and comfort etc.

Cheers,

Ian

Re: new trailer

ok Ian no probs picking it up on monday from wangaratta. 6 hrs away so it will get a good test, I have towed a trailer for years so I am not worried about towing it. I already know they are very easy to tow, you can see over the top which you cant with elites and classics I will follow up next week with a little writeup.
Cheers

Re: new trailer

No pickies yet they are comming, but I now have my new cub camper sprint It tows like a dream, I can see over the top no need to change mirrors. by the bc computer L/100kms I averaged 5.2 on the way up empty coming home it went to 6.7 rode with the c/c on most of the way at about 105kmph no problem passing slower cars just dropped down to 4th to overtake.. but the avon storm on the back has to go the LT is way to twichy with this trailer. this is the second time I have tried a radial and will definately be the last. In the last two week I have fitted a ztecknic screen its a bit tall but I dont mind what a huge difference, it is brilliant. also the high scream howl from the motor/gearbox between 97/107kph has gone as well with it. got my new trunk latch from the states awesum thanks to Michael Gore at 3R Plastics. another great guy to deal with over their in yank land.

Re: new trailer

Hi Linton,
Are you still towing the Cub Sprint with the RT?
I have had a Cub Sprint since 2003, I did have an issue once towing it with the 1100GS, broke the intermediate shaft in the gearbox, however a year later I towed the camper through to Camerons corner.
I just bought a 1100RT last week and it comes with a tow bar....so I am keen again to tow the camper again...but not too keen on repairing the gearbox
Cheers
