GPS Anyone?

There's a thread on the GPS forum where you can get a good deal on a Garmin 2720 via the US.
http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/showthre...253#post177253
Not released in Aus, but should be compatible as its similar to the 2610 that was released here. You would need to buy the Aus maps though, thats another $300 or so.
I got my 2610 from the US via Ebay, and bought the maps locally.

The new Zumo 550 with Aus maps (for motorcycles) is currently around $1500-$1600.

To purchase from Costco, one needs a membership. I have one.

If any of our Aussie brethren want in on this purchase, PM me and we can work out the details. I am not looking to make anything on the deal, just offering a helping hand. Next time I visit, you can shout me a drink.

Been a couple of years since my last extended visit. Spent most of my time in Cairns and a bit in Townsville. Ready to go back, maybe stay this time!

Sorry for replying so late

I have a Zumo 550, bought it last year here in Brisbane, paid 1400 AUD and am very happy with the product, using it on the Beemer over a cassette adapter as MP3 player as well as GPS, on the Yamaha only as GPS and in the car as GPS with Voice, as it comes with the kit.

I organise group rides all over the place with the map planer and can upload the driving info from the past.

I do like it, it is a good product.
