You have to keep in mind that new LT's cost around AUS $36,000 here in Australia for some obscure reason.

My understanding is they are a lot cheaper to buy new (and second-hand) in the states.

I'd be careful. this is NOT a 2006 model as the ad says. It's a 2005.

the facts...

It's build date (06/2004) is 2 months after my bike, which I bought Sept 05.
Dealer just called me and I had to hassle him for the VIN code (last 7 digits) and he "explained" that they put in 2006 because the drop-down boxes (in the online bike-ad) didn't accept a 2006 date! He says it has a 2006 compliance plate, which it probably does because thats probably when it was imported.
I still think it sucks that you think you are buying a recent build bike, when in fact its nearing 3 years old.

Still, if you were after a near "new" condition bike, it's got very low miles...
but ya gotta like that paint job....

Data for the chassis numbers. ZL67538
type key: 0549
catalyst: with
sichtschutz: no
series: K76
execution: Europe
designation: K1200LT/M
body: Sedan
production year: 06/2004
work: Berlin

Yep, gave the dealer a call also... Stated that a Goldwing buyer purchased it as he couldn't afford the GW...then came into some money and traded it on a new GW from that dealer... Sounds like it is a nice bike...thought about it for a moment, but not a huge fan of the colour though... (sorry Barry...et al)
