"Local" single-wheel trailer

On my way through Canberra on Thursday I'm going to stop & check out a local bloke who is building single-wheel trailers, similar to the uni-go style.
His name is Brian Redding, and he tells me he's built a couple so far, which he's sold. Found one for sale on the Ulysees pages.
Have a look at the pics and let me know what you think, particulary those of you with experience towing trailers, & and an understanding of the hitch mechanisms etc.
I've towed car trailers, but never a bike trailer.

Specs from Brian:
"Basic dimensions:

1.95m (front of draw bar to rear mudguard of trailer)
570mm (widest point at rear)
560mm (Deep)
1.4m (usable space inside)
400 x 540mm (rear internal deck space)
720 x 460mm (lid access area)
200ltr (usable storage)
45kg (dry weight)
70kg (max net weight) - Trailer handles very well with this load,
however, with all our clothes and chairs we only carried 45kg.
110kg (approx gross weight).

I have included a photo of a 300mm long fold chair to give you an idea of
the space."

Not too sure about the 'scooter' pulling one though...I thought they would have trouble pulling the skin off the top of custard...

pricing...?

I've just emailed to ask the question, cause I can't find the one he'd posted for sale on the Ulysees site... may have sold.
I guess I'll be looking at his own one.

And I think Brian IS "Scooter-Man", he said he tows it around on his Burgman (or is that Burgerman) .

If you want to get in touch direct, his number is 0412 841 527.
He seems like a pretty up-front bloke from his emails. Not backward in coming forward with all the info about it and why he got into making a couple.

forget to add... I think it was about $2100. I thought it must have been second hand, but apparently it was new....

from Brian...

"If I continue to make the trailer I will be trying to keep it to around
$3,000. This all depends on wheel, tyre and manufacturing prices at this
stage. Alloy wheels are much more expensive than steel.

The black trailer is still for sale as can be seen on the Ulysses site."

now I've seen it....

Just a quick follow up.
I met up with Brian on way to Snowy Ride.
Very nice bloke (works at Oracle, Canberra) who was just disenchanted with what was available, so went about setting up his own design.
He's in the process of refining the design and has secured assistance from a colleague at the Uni in Canberra who's the head of the Industrial Design dept, or some such.
Get's them made by someone in Sydney, so if you like the single wheel design, then maybe its an option. Certainly worth checking out.
Brian is an avid Ulyssean, and does the AGM's.
If only he rode an LT....
