Re: BMW mechanics in Canberra

Welcome back Colin!

Hope you picked up a good one.
Haven't lived around Canberra for a long time so can't help you with that, although perhaps if you post a notice on the BMW Motorcycle Club ACT webpage I'm sure they'll point you in the right direction.

cheers!

Re: BMW mechanics in Canberra

or you can ride down to Linton's place.... the Great Ocean Road is a nice trip, though a little over-rated in my humble opinion

Thanks for the reply guys.

Linton

Do you do repairs on the side. It would be a good ride to have some work done. Kill two birds with the one stone - so to speak.

Cheers....Colin

Re: BMW mechanics in Canberra

no not really, just an old mechanic, l I have now rebuilt mine from front to back I will need to redo the diff, when it went I stuck a new bearing and seal in it and buttoned it up.
I did ride to Sydney and help Chris do his clutch cause I was bored and needed to get out

Re: BMW mechanics in Canberra

I pick the bike up on Saturday at Port Macquarie and then ride back to Canberra, so am looking forward to that.

When I get back I will get a service done so that I can make sure that there are no hidden nasties.

If there are any issues, which I'm hoping there aren't, I might talk it over with you to get your advice.

Cheers

Colin

Sorry Linton, chris is right. GOR is boring, over policed , over trafficked and slow

Lol

Now try the Oxley.. Everything from very tight twisties through sweepers and fast plains runs. Great destinations either end....

You're right - can't wait.

Only another hour until I leave for the bus, but who's counting.

Re: BMW mechanics in Canberra

Hi Guys,

Picked the bike up on Saturday and the ride home was as good as expected.

I've been off a bike for some 10 years and it was good to get re-acquainted with the K1200LT.

Performed brilliantly and I expect no surprises at its forthcoming service.

Cheers....Colin

Speaking of Mr Ward. He bumped into me at the Pie last week. Seems he wants Beryl to be able to sing again. New stereo install coming up
