Low seat for K1200LT

Good Morning

After a long absence from riding I have just purchased a second hand K1200LT.

I previously owned one and am looking forward to riding again.

My problem is that, at 5'4" I need the low seat conversion but BMW no longer sell the seat.

If anyone has a seat that they no longer use, I am in the market for one.

Regards

Colin

Re: Low seat for K1200LT

I am not sure they ever made a low seat, they did make a comfort seat but that was horrible. it was quite a bit narrower which seemed like it was lower
I had one and sold it real quick, an alternative is thicker boot soles that may help until you get a seat sorted

Re: Low seat for K1200LT

Hi Linton

Thank you for the reply.

BMW did make a low seat conversion for the LT. From memory, tow pieces had to be removed from under the seat and part of the fairing had to be cut away. BMW no longer make the low seat for the bike, that is why I am trying to chase one up. I have been thinking of getting some boots modified, but it is a big ask of the boots as, being 5'4" with a 24" inner seam, it will be more like an 80s platform.

Hope the bike repairs are holding up.

Cheers....Colin
