SSB Powersport battery
As Linton alluded to in another post, he is trying the SSB Powersport dry cell battery. My '05 had an SSB Powersport Superstart Gel battery in it when I purchased the bike 3 1/2 years back. The battery was 18 months old at the time of my purchase so it's about 5 years old now and starts the bike fine still. I keep a Battery Fighter 1.25 amp tender unit on it and switch it on every few days when not using the bike. Hope the Dry Cell product is as good, price certainly looks attractive. For the record, according to the original owner, he got only 3 years out of the original BMW Exide battery, which is probably double the price of the SSB product.
