Tank bag repair

Hi all. Can anyone point me in the right direction to where I could have my RT's tank bag refreshed, the transparent plastic of the map pocket has gone dark yellow and I wonder if it can be replaced for a new one.
Thanks for your assistance.

Try Linda at [email protected].
I have an 18 year old tank bag that needed new zippers & new elastic. She did a great job good price & got it back to me in time for our vacation.

Re: Tank bag repair

I need to repair/replace my plastic map cover on a BMW brand tankbag for my R1200RT. Had a nice chat with Linda T (www.customtankbags.com).

We decided I would jury rig a repair for my trip next week then talk later about a more extensive repair or replacement.

Interesting, if crude website, and she probably has good solutions to many tankbag issues or special needs.

Re: Tank bag repair

Boat curtain shops can sew new, UV resistant boat vinyl as a window- involves replacing the rollup seal with velcro.
Near the coast you should have such a place within a few miles of you given the number of boats and boat dealers.
That cost me $30 locally in NC. Works well enough even in the rain on my RT
