ABS Magnetic interference from add-ons

While researching HID lighting I came across this article where the positioning of the ballast caused interference with the ABS system. I did a deeper search on Magnetic interference and the ABS systems and this does seem to be true. I'm sure this is a non-brainer for some, but I hadn't considered it myself and am sure others are alike .

This particular quote I found repeated on several sites ....
Quote:
When installing any "add on" electrical accessories' (CB's, Telephones, Stereos, etc.), it is important that any antennas or other wiring be located away from the ABS computer and sensor wiring. A magnetic field is generated as current flows through this additional wiring. The magnetic field that is created produces electro-magnetic interference (EMI) that can affect the signals from the wheel speed sensor to the ABS computer.
Just something to keep in mind if you suddenly get ABS faults after you add an accessory.

Re: ABS Magnetic interference from add-ons

My ABS woes started years after upgrading the lighting. I added my HID balasts, using heavy duty Radioshack velcro, just above the headlight assembly, as such:

I wouldn't think it's an issue in this location.
