...that are the ABSOLUTE # 1 WORST drivers on the road?

What is wrong with them?? I'm 100% serious about this.

I think they are having some sort of secret, underground contest to see who can win the title with:

2. Mini van drivers.

3. Any large white four door American made sedan driven by a blue hair.

4. Explorer, Expedition and or Suburban drivers, especially the two wheel drive variety.

5. Hummer drivers.

6. Anyone wearing a fez. Driving any vehicle.

Here's a picture of me - taken just this evening - as I take Mr. Smartypants "I cut you off and almost killed you since I didn't bother looking or use my turn signal since I was focused on my gas gauge" Prius driver out for a nice long swim.

But seriously, in my neck of the woods I just don't see too many Priuses (or is that Prii...?), so I can't help you with this one. There are enough idjits out there that I can't say that one brand or model is worse than another. I pay special attention to moms in minivans and -- my personal numero uno worst driver -- teenage or 20-something girls; they are always on a cell phone and they couldn't give a rat's a$$ about anyone else out there.

Maybe you see more Prii because Arizona is a "greener" state than Ohio.

Well, I still think Volvo drivers are right up there, too. However, I see a lot of the Prius drivers looking at their center console monitoring how "green" they are being.

I'm not sure when keeping your eyes on the road became an option.

Where I live there are tons of them on the road. I do not think that they give a damn about the environment but wanted the Prius to be able to drive (with only one person) on the HOV lanes in the Washington DC area. Every year they keep extending the ruling to allow these vehicles to use the HOV lanes. What gets me is that the Prius gets about the same fuel mileage as any other small car while traveling 65 miles per hour. It is only in "city" traffic where they are the most fuel efficient. Since I drive my bike on the HOV lanes, I cannot blame them for "bending" HOV the rules, but it sure does make the lanes more congested.

Luckily, here in Georgia hybrids DO NOT qualify for HOV lane use. Motorcycles and alternatively fueled vehicles do (CNG, total electric, etc) and even the alternative fuel vehicles get a special license plate to make them more obvious.

Prius drivers are the worst! Ron, if you think they are bad in Arizona you should see them in the snow...OMG, are they bad. I like the fact that they get 50mpg but they sure attracted the wrong crowd.

On second thought, if we can convince ALL the bad drivers to just drive a Prius then at least we will know who they are.

Some of the most asinine things people do are typically preceded by the two words "Watch this."

We do the Hwy 50 commute daily .... At times, YES those little cock roach cars are poking along with there drivers all proud and happy they get to run in the HOV lane. Typically single person occupied too.
Fun part is wife & I get to use the HOV lane too commuting in a F-150 truck and capable of 75mph running as we do often going home at night.

So I figure being two persons we qualify for an @ 40 mpg per person rating so the typical ECO friendly car drivers with their nose in the air as we pass attitude is unfounded.
Should we get too run them over when they dart into the lane from on ramps blocking the HOV lane doing at best the speed limit

Never ceases to amaze us how they think playing chicken with a 5600 # truck is a sport or something ?

well, they do seem to be on another planet most of the time. I hate to paint with too broad a brush here, but I get the feeling they feel just a tad pleased with themselves for driving such a "green" vehicle and perhaps while basking in all that glory they have forgotten it is still an automobile and one must actually pay attention while driving it. But I hasten to add that cagers in general are a pretty sloppy lot and seem to be often paying attention to too many things other than driving. We who ride motorcycles MUST pay attention if we want to survive to ride another day. Not so with cagers...or, at least they don't think it is quite as important.

Wow, I don't know which direction to face so I can dodge the sharp words of discontent and judgement being thrown around. Do I ride my LT and face the cagers as they "ignore everyone and everything around them/assume total ownership of the rode"; or do I drive my Prius and face the motorcyclists throwing the "stupid/insensitive/no-ability-to-drive/Eco-arrogant" barbs at me. The conservatives don't like that I would drive such a left-wing-ist car. The liberals hate that I have a CHL and carry my XDM in the car and on the mc.

On top of all that-I am a minister trying to help people. It's a good thing I actually like being me with all my inconsistencies. I guess I'd better put on my armor and get on out there again today. Ride safely!!!

OK, forgive me father for I have sinned. ...and I'm not even Catholic.

Back when premium gas was approaching - oh - about $5.00 a gallon I would shut off my car at known long lights. I mean, at standstill you are getting 0 mpg, right?

Then I figured out how much it would cost to replace a burned out Mercedes OEM starter and figured I would need to be sitting a stop lights with the motor turned off for about three thousand years to save enough in gas expenses to pay for it. Simple math.

Hmmm, maybe I'm a closet Prius wannabe, but I swear to God I will never, ever drive like they do.
