If I may suggest a route for those coming up from the south....From the north side of Palestine on Hwy 155, turn left onto FM315. Continue on 315 to FM314 ...then left on FM 314 to Edom.
The stretch of FM315 from Palestine to Brushy Creek is a must ride in this area. Ron

The trip that I pm'd you about has changed a bit on the back end. It looks slightly more likely that we may be able to make it, but we may be forced to "cage it". I am currently in NYC, just arrived two hours ago from Copenhagen via London. I am still flying to Pittsburgh for a meeting this afternoon, and hopefully to Dallas tonight. Brussels was canceled (thank goodness) as the weather has been deplorable - rain, wind and cold. I do have to make quick "day trips" to Chicago, Portland and San Diego this week but as it stands today, I should be back in Dallas late Friday the 20th. Should I list our names if we are not positive? Where the heck is Edom? I will do everything in my power to make. Hope to see you soon,

For anyone in the Austin Area that wants to ride up Benny & I are meeting in Hutto at 7:00 to 7:15 am. Lets meet at the First Stop light past the Toll roads. We have to stop on the left (North) side but this will be easy to find everyone.
BTW Gina Let the count down begin I put on a new rear tire today & scrubbed it off going to church & i'm ready to R T E

I have warned the people at The Shed that we will be arriving at their fine establishment on Saturday around 11:30. They informed me that they will take all the necessary precautions to make sure things like silverware, plates, etc are properly secure.

I very sad to tell you that we will not be able to make it Saturday. Yesterday morning, my 58 year old sister Mischelle suffered a massive stroke while visiting Cleveland, Ohio. Response was incredibly swift and she was taken immediately to the Cleveland Clinic - one of the most incredible medical facilities I have ever seen. They immediately rushed her into emergency surgery to clear blockages to the Basler Artery, the main artery supplying blood to the rear of the brain. A "wing-span" stint was successfully inserted. The surgery was successful in restoring blood flow, however the extent of the damage is not yet known. Doctors have said that she was EXTREMELY fortunate to have survived the first few hours, as the mortality rate for this type of stroke is in excess of 95%. The Basler Artery supplies blood to the portion of the brain that it is responsible for breathing and heartbeat thus the high fatality rate. This morning, she seems to be aware of what is happening, and seems to be answering yes/no questions by squeezing our hand once for yes and twice for no. She is still on a respirator so we are not aware if she can speak, but none of her left side is active. Shelly and I are in Cleveland at her side. Shelly and my nephew Lynn flew up from Dallas yesterday and I drove in from my meetings in Chicago. We have no idea of how long we will be here, but have already canceled our Thanksgiving dinner plans (we were expecting 28 for dinner at our house). As has become a too often recurring theme for me over the last year, I again find myself requesting the prayers and thoughts of my extended family out in "LT-land". I am firmly convinced that the collective prayer strength of our group does make a difference, and I humbly ask for you all to share blessings on behalf of my sister, Mischelle Merrill.
