Thumbs up Fort Bragg, CA Ride -October 17 - 18
It's that time again! I have most of the details together for the ride to Fort Bragg for this year. Here's the scoop so far -

Dates: Saturday & Sunday, October 17 - 18

Hotel:

Travelodge (same location as past years, just part of the chain now)
763 N Main St
Fort Bragg, CA 95437
707-964-4787

We have a block of 30 rooms, including -

18 - 2 double beds at $65
10 - 1 King bed at $59
6 - 2 bedroom mini-suites (2 separate bedrooms with 1 bed in each) with a sitting area at $ $70


Reservations can be made starting today. Tell the desk agent you are with the David Taylor BMW Party to get these rates. The cutoff for getting rooms in our block is September 20th. After that the block will be released and go back to their normal rates.

Lunch:

Tony's Seafood Restaurant

Marshall, CA;

We'll meet here for lunch at 11:30 a.m. They will open early to seat us so we don't have to wrestle with the regular lunch crowd. Best BBQ'd oysters anywhere, I swear!

Dinner:

North Coast Brewery Tap Room, 6:30 p.m.

Normal deal here, they'll stick us in the banquet room to avoid scaring the locals and we'll be able to order from the full menu. I did mention they may want to stock up on prime rib if they offer it that night.

And yes, they still have all the fantastic beer you could want!

Rides To and From:

Everyone pretty much does their own thing going and coming. Some folks get together and ride up and/or back, but this isn't an organized group ride where we all meet and go together in a big gaggle. This gives folks the flexibility to choose routes, stops, etc., and ride at their own pace, which keeps everyone safe and happy. Basically you know when and where lunch is, and when and where dinner is, and the riding part you get to choose and enjoy as you see fit! I'll be happy to post a Garmin file with the various stops and even some suggested routes if folks would like some suggestions. Just let me know.


That's pretty much it for now. Feel free to start booking your rooms, and once you've done that please add your name to the roster I've started on this thread so I can give the restaurants a headcount.

Hi folks!

Just a reminder that the Fort Bragg ride is coming up. You’ve got about 10 days to get your rooms booked before they are released back to normal rates.The cutoff is 9/20. So book ‘em now and avoid the rush! Be sure to add your name to the attendee list we're tracking in the Rides and Rallies forum.

Looks like I'll make it this year. I have business in the Seattle/Tacoma area and have elected to ride there in lieu of the airplane rental car thing. I would be intested in joining up with any of the Northwest guys for the ride south.

I talked with the hotel today and they agreed to extend our block of rooms and the discounted rates though October 1.We have about 10 rooms left. So for those who thought they might have missed the boat, you haven't!

I see my name on the list so, I guess i'm going.. Just booked a room. I just burned up another rear tire today riding around Mt St Helens and Mt Rainier. Better get busy with the tire changer. See ya all there.
