Registration for CCR 2010 ends Saturday, July 31! If you would like to join us for our eleventh Reunion you may now register. CCR 2010 is scheduled for August 31-September 3, 2010 at the Killington Grand Resort in Killington, VT. Vermont is the Green Mountain State, and we'll be right there in the middle of it. The Curve Cowboy Reunion is the preeminent Luxury Touring motorcycle event of the year. lf you don't know about CCR, read about us in the news. Not only will we have fun, but we will have a significant charitible impact on the community.

Red River Roundup 2010
This will be the 8th annual gathering for the Red River Roundup. This year’s Roundup is Thursday May 20th through Sunday May 23rd. If you haven't been to this area, there are many great roads and many great restaurants in the area. Not to mention some of our own cookin'. If you have a hankerin’ for a good ol’ flame kissed onion burger, green chile cheeseburger or some great barbeque, now's the time to experience it. We'll make sure you don't go away hungry. We're talkin' about a four day Ride to Eat. This isn't a rally. There's no registration fee. Come and meet some new friends as well as gather with folks you've known for quite a while.
The host hotel for the event will be the same as in years past. The Riverside Lodge is located within walking distance of most everything in Red River. Most all of the rooms feature a living room and kitchen equipped with stoves, refrigerators, etc. The parking lot is paved and level, with parking just outside your room. Many rooms have a porch and chairs as well. They accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. The website for the Riverside is at www.redriver-nm.com. Their toll-free number for reservations is 1-800-432-9999. Tell them you want to make reservations for the Red River Roundup. For those of you unfamiliar with Red River, it's a small town located in northwestern NM in the Sangre de Cristo mountains, the southernmost range of the Rocky mountains. Red River is located on the Enchanted Circle, which traverses Carson National Forest and runs through Eagle Nest, and Taos, NM. The scenery is incredible. The roads are paved and in good shape, with many good twisties, especially on the south side of the Enchanted Circle. There are many other good roads in the area that make for enjoyable day trips. People have ridden to Wolf Creek Pass and other Southern Colorado locations during this RTE. There are also numerous Jeep Trails in the area that we refer to as GS roads. Taos, located about 30 miles from Red River, offers a variety of both excellent dining and shopping experiences. Other attractions in the area include several wineries and the Rio Grande Gorge. like 160 in CO Jim, The passes are usually fine that time of year but you need to watch the forecast as close as practical for the time you will be riding the passes. Day time temps are usually pretty comfortable. Early mornings at the high elevations could be around or below the freezing range. Go for it, Its a great rally.

I wanted to come, but Busted Knuckles says we don't have enough money or vacation time this year to do both Eureka Springs and Red River. However, after this year we will probably be phasing out our annual "family" vacation (dragging the reluctant step-daughter around Colorado), so next year we will have more time for such things.

Couple years ago, Jim and I explored a dirt road that went North out of town. Great ride, it even had a huge land slide about 1/4 mile across the road that we managed to cross.
The road that Jeff has on the map was snowed in that year, we tried but no go. Is it time to go yet!
