The George W. Bush Presidential Library

The George W. Bush Presidential Library

The George W. Bush Presidential Library is now in the planning stages and accepting donations. The Library will include:

~ The Hurricane Katrina Room, which is still under construction.

~ The Alberto Gonzales Room, where you won't be able to remember anything.

~ The Texas Air National Guard Room, where you don't even have to show up.

~ The Walter Reed Army Hospital Room, where they don't let you in.

~ The Guantanamo Bay Room, where they don't let you out.

~ The Weapons of Mass Destruction Room, which no one has been able to find.

~ The National Debt Room, which is huge and has no ceiling.

~ The Tax Cut Room, with entry only to the wealthy.

~ The Economy Room, which is in the toilet.

~ The Iraq War Room. (After you complete your 1st visit, they make you go back for a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and sometimes 5th visit.)

~ The Dick Cheney Room, in the famous undisclosed location, complete with shotgun gallery, without a first-aid kit.

~ The Environmental Conservation Room, still empty.

~ The Supreme Gift Shop, where you can buy an election.

~ The Airport Men's Room, where you can meet some of your favorite Republican Senators.

~ The Decider Room, complete with dart board, magic 8-ball, Ouija board, dice, coins, and straws.

Note: The library will feature an electron microscope to help you locate and view the President's accomplishments.

The library will also include many Famous Quotes by George W. Bush, including:

"The vast majority of our imports come from outside the country."

"If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure."

"Republicans understand the importance of bondage between a mother and child."

"No senior citizen should ever have to choose between prescription drugs and medicine."

"I believe we are on an irreversible trend toward more freedom and democracy – but that could change."

"One word sums up probably the responsibility of any Governor, and that one word is "to be prepared."

" Verbosity leads to unclear, inarticulate things."

" I have made good judgments in the past. I have made good judgments in the future."

" The future will be better tomorrow."

"We're going to have the best educated American people in the world."

" One of the great things about books is sometimes there are some fantastic pictures." (during an education photo-op)

" Illegitimacy is something we should talk about in terms of not having it."

" We are ready for any unforeseen event that may or may not occur."

" It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."

" I stand by all the misstatements that I've made." …George W. Bush to Sam Donaldson.

PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY!

Sincerely,

Jack Abramoff, Co-Chair
G.W. Bush Library Board of Director

Re: The George W. Bush Presidential Library

I would take George W. over Barry Soetoro any day of the week.

Barry has done more damage to our country in his first 11 months than Bush did in the six years before the Democrats took over the House and the House and Ways and Means committee in 2006.

The Left complained about unemployment when it was 4.7% under Bush and what are they saying about it now that it is over 10%?

There are two sides to every debate and everyone is entitled to have an opinion, but this was the greatest country on the planet and we had never had a President go on an apology tour before.

Maybe it's just my generation, but Presidents use to be proud to be an American and say great things about our country and its promise for the future for young and old and rich and poor alike. I don't see that from Barry. He is constantly trying to start class warfare. Why?

Agreed. I am getting tired of seeing pics of Barry bowing to others.
I have a poster of Bush in my work area with the caption: "Miss me yet?"

Yes I do.

Re: The George W. Bush Presidential Library

Ken,

You let me down. I put all the bait out there and you didn't bite.

I thought that you would defend Barry putting the country in debt in 11 months more than all his predecessors combined.

I thought that you would blame the unemployment figures on Bush.

I thought that you would say Barney Frank and Chris Dodd were right in thinking that Fannie and Freddie should put everyone in a house where they could afford it or not, even with no down payment and no reason to stay.

I thought that you would have a reason for Barry's apology tour. There has to be a reason why he thinks that we aren't the greatest country on Earth.

You mentioned that "you want to bitch about how the world is going to hell because things just don't seem to be going your way". Be honest. Lets go back to the age old political question, "Are you better off now than you were when Barry took office?"

Buehler? Buehler? Buehler? Bait?

Did you get one of those government stimulus jobs?

And you didn't let me down. You just thrashed each and every one of your own arguments, all by yourself.

As for being "better off", does that include how you feel about the situation? Because unless you personally have lost your job or your house since January, you're pretty much the same as before. Maybe you're more worried about things, but that's an internal thing, nothing more.

And even if you are still worried about losing your job this year, and your house is worth less on paper, you at least gotta admit that these changes were taking place while W was still in office. Politics isn't a light switch on/off business. Changes, both good and bad, take time to develop and trickle down to us mere mortals.

However, this is still the Humor forum. If someone wants to move this into the CRAPPER, then perhaps we could explore these issues in more detail.

Nope, sorry, that still sounds just as dumb now as it did when Bush was in office . . .

Re: The George W. Bush Presidential Library

I thought that to qualify for the "humor" forum a post has to be at least somewhat funny. This post isn't, well, maybe digging up that old name "Jack Abramoff" is arguably funny, but the rest is lame.

Holy BALONEY! I just realized I didn't put smilies all over my post. I meant to, but just like at work, I send the email and don't attach the file. Figures.

Since this has been moved, I guess I really don't need to add them now. Too late.

Maybe if we all realized it doesn't matter if the Republicrats or the Democans have control. They all spend money like a slobbering drunk at a nekid bar! (No offense to slobbering drunks. At least they're spending their own money.) They have to get their piece of the pie to carry home to their constituents.

It is possible that (in the future) a two party system may evolve in the U.S. In the meantime, it appears that passive obedience toward the governing elite will continue to be the norm.

+ 1, Lee. I have no problem with Mack Daddy O bowing. If you're sincere in your inferiority--which he truly seems to be--you should bow down!
