Retractor went Sprooing

The part on the side case (2007 R 1200 RT) that retreacts the tape that prevents the side case lid from falling open all the way stopped retracting the tape. I attempted to repair it and wound up having the coiled metal spring fly across the room. Is the small black unit with the retractable retainer tape a part that is available witihout buying a new case? Does anyone know the part number or where to obtain one? Thanks.

Semper Fi: loose translation--- "Well of course it's a Deckelhalter. How foolish of me not to think of that.". --- thanks again.
