The war zone and the hummer

One of my riding buddies came by today for a tire change. All went well with that so we decided to go for a ride. We rode up near Mount Rainier and enjoyed the 39 degree temps. It was getting dark so we turned around and started down the mountain. We caught up with another bike and a long line of cars going the speed limit. This area has lots of deer, Elk,Bear, and mountain lions so I decided to take her easy and just follow the others. Live to ride another day kind of thing. We were in this line maybe two minutes and we passed a hummer on the side of the road. Just as we passed him the hummer pulled back on the road behind my buddy and was fish tailing all over the place. He immediately passed us and pulled in behind the unknown rider in front of me. Tailgating him like a madman. I thought to myself that if he could afford a hummer he should be smart enough to drive better. An oncoming car passed and he was out passing the bike and long line of cars at a high rate of speed. This was a two lane road with huge trees on both sides of the road.. So dense I had no gps reception. I lost sight of him and thirty seconds later the cars in front of us started braking and doing evasive maneuvers. At first I thought maybe a critter was on the road It ended up being the idiot in the hummer ran a car off the road. A quarter mile later the road turned into a full out war zone. Tree branches, Hummer parts, clothes and debris covered the whole road for two hundred yards. Then came the hummer in the middle of the road with every side smashed up and the roof caved in.I can't imagine how many times he rolled. Four cars stopped to help the dude, I figured there was no phone reception in that remote location so we rode through the mine field of debris heading for the nearest town to call the cops. The next town was about twenty miles away and as we neared it we saw a cop and two ambulances en route. I hope the idiot and his passengers lived to learn what total asshats they were.

What gave you the idea that because they had the money to buy a hummer they were any bit more intelligent than your average dog?

Cool Re: The war zone and the hummer

Wow Brian! Glad to hear you guys are OK. They are all around us aren't they? They probably figured they were indestructible. Found out otherwise.

hmmm... maybe it was "On Star" calling?

"Hello, this is On Star... we have information you are an idiot. Sending police to document... and a Swap-Up crew will follow."

+1
The fact they spent money on a hummer is an indicator of decreased intelligence. I normally find people have more money than cents (sense).

You guys are right about that. Maybe the government should take money away from the stupid instead of the rich...

Re: The war zone and the hummer

I hope someone stayed around to tell the police what a public nuisance this guy was. He should not be allowed to drive.

Re: The war zone and the hummer

Greg,
All the people who had stpped were the people he had just passed and probably seen the whole thing. I have been scanning the local papers online but have not seen anything on it yet.

That's exactly why they should do it. They can fight over what they are going to take from each other and let John Q. keep his hard earned money.
