Yup

Unfortunately, links do not work.

Having a schematic for the module/kit would be nice.

Have you tried uploading it to the forum through Files -> Technical Documents -> Action Menu -> upload files... ? Looks like it'll take up to 8Mb (8192Kb)

Do you know if there's an English version available?

Sounds like it won't let you move a .zip file... Go back to the .pdf and try again..

There could be anything in your .zip file, Like a virus, So you probably can't upload.

Good Luck

Re: Kit Repair Radio Bmw Professional 2000 ( Becker )

This is page one below of the first PDF file using google translate, I have to say it works pretty well.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After seeing the sense of helplessness that causes us most when the radio breaks, having to face a forced substitution of all radio prohibitively expensive for a small very basic services, or to re-branding with disadvantages of loss of screen, keypad and automatic volume control, I decided to solve the problem with this proposal we will save a eurillos.
First of all be clear several things:
 This solution only serves to repair the burned amplification module, any other failure is not resolved with this module.
 This repair does not increase the original performance, the radio continues with the same features and functionality, so this also means that you lose control of anything, providing continuous control keypad, the display, the automatic volume control, etc ..
 We may have slightly improved cooling: in addition to having more surface area to radiate heat complements this solution with a small fan to prevent the re-burn time.
 When any of you want to do this Brico-repair should know that the power module is available in the store www.bmw-luxurytouring.com Forum.
ALL INFORMATION DESCRIBED HEREIN IS EXEMPT FROM ANY LIABILITY.
Only this is a pilot action has been positive and I contact to make you partakers of her and you may profit if you are interested.
Anyone here follow detailed explanations PERSONALLY ASSUME any damage that may occur, therefore it is advisable to have sufficient knowledge before you make them.
From the forum will offer assistance as far as I can.
In summary the proposed solution goes through simply to replace the power module, which is usually burned.
To do this we remove the 2 plate and burned old modules (although only one channel is burned L or R, we remove 2)
Here we will post the new power module has been designed as to be housed inside the radio, particularly in the space that remains on the left side, I decided this side, because the connector on the radio is just this side, and therefore the output wires of the speakers that we have to bridge to the new module has the shortest distance and easier access.
I hope this boric enjoy doing, as I did.
Thank "Alf-LT" has been the first to leave me a radio to try and have the first contacts, "Eraser" for being the first to leave me your radio and your bike to do all the measures that have left the main results, as well as not to "Istanbul", which has suffered the trauma of the first logical tests and has allowed the changes needed to solve definitely the proposal.

I would feel more comfortable hearing positive comments on both repair guys if they were from LT riders with more than one post on the forum.... Also, what is the current charge for a typical repair of the LT radio, including shipping costs?

Re: Kit Repair Radio Bmw Professional 2000 ( Becker )

I tried several chips and different ways to add an amplifier inside the radio, I finally come back to the basic TDA7375A which takes more space but works great.
I used PCB Express to design the PCB, and built the module from scratch using the traditional Amplifier diagram around the TDA7375A.
Each year riders asked me to help them to fix their radio, sometime they want a kit, sometime they send me their radio, it depends.
My next step will be to offer the Bluetooth which it appears that many want it added to the amplifier repair.
There is picture of the module I built on my last post [#33].
That's it!

I previously posted the cost of the repair I offer.
I charge $210 to do the complete job, which is removing the bad chips, building a new amplifier, and fitting it (shipping cost is included)
I also charge $75 to build the amplifier and ship it to those who want to fit it themselves, with all the necessary information (shipping cost is included)
Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: Kit Repair Radio Bmw Professional 2000 ( Becker )

Hi Chris ,

I felt so good to see your PCB amplifier .

so good to know that you can offer your service to riders LT in USA .

Regarding to radio PCB connection , can you said me where are the points to solder on PCB ? , do you have a photo please .

I've had a small problem with some Lt's ( less that 10% of all )because the standby function doesn't work correctly .

I have tested some radios and i found that the voltage of standby is not constant in the radio.
In this case, only solution is connecting an adicional mini-switch placed above the radio, button turn off/on +Vcc

Did you find the same problem ?

About the STBye I call it MUTE personally, I've NEVER had a complaint about the Mute after a repair. I just make sure before sending the module, or fitting it inside of the radio, that it switches on and off correctly.
Does it happen on older LT model or newer ones?

I just want everyone to know that I just finished my repair with Chris yesterday, and he was awesome! The radio works perfectly, I have a new 3.5mm input, and he even provided me with support after his job was done. Thanks again, Chris.

About the mute function , I haven't any problem with my solution.

My question is about Standby power .
you know , you can switch On / Off with the button "ON" Radio , this button active ON the Board radio and Power amplifier module.
In my case , normally in more than 90% have a correct functionality , but some units not, the voltage of standby on the board is not stable to "OFF" position , but is correct to "ON" . When this problem is find the only solution is install one mini switch to turn ON-OFF the module amplifier.

How you turn ON-OFF your module amplifier ?

Hi Xesco,
I understand what you are explaining here, but I never faced the problem before, therefore I've never had to install the switch ON-OFF.
Thank you for the info, the module is powered straight from the radio.

Hi everyone. I too wanted to add that I had a hassle free experience with Chris Chenard and his repair of my 05 Lt's radio. Its so awesome to have all 4 channels working once again! Thanks Chris and I would highly reccomend you to anyone that doesnt want to lose their radio hand controls by installing a different radio entirely, with this amplifier issue. Fair price and turn around time was great! Chris is easily accessible as well.
