I have had a similar problem. Last winter, whenever the temp dropped below 40, the lights would start flashing. Since I still had the original battery which was 5 years old, I replaced the battery. This didn't completely solve the problem, but it was better. This winter it has started again, except now it's when the temp falls below 50. I've topped off the rear fluid reservoir and charged the battery and it only took about 20 mins to reach full charge. Went out the next day, and the first time I hit the brakes, the light started flashing. That afternoon the temp was in the low 70s, and not once did the lights flash. Today was a cooler day, and it started again. All it takes to stop them from flashing is to turn off the ignition switch and restart the bike. I had the dealer check the error codes on the brake system, and it only showed a fault from about 3 or 4 months ago.
