'So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?'

This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days
and a very embarrassed female news anchor who will,
in the future, likely think before she speaks.
What happens when you predict snow but don't get any!
We had a female news anchor that,
the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn't,
turned to the weatherman and asked:
'So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?'
Not only did HE have to leave the set,
but half the crew did too they were laughing so hard!

Re: 'So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?'

I've searched the internet and youtube, however I cannot find anything concrete to prove this really happened. However, I could swear that I saw this on one of those "Funniest Moments on TV" specials.

Either way, it is absolutely hilarious!!!

I have to disagree with Snopes on this one. I have seen this video. It's been several years ago and I want to say the newscast was from somewhere like Nebraska or Montana.

Yup, Snopes got it wrong this time,
I've seen it and not that long ago,
It was a television news blooper show.

No, they didn't. They never claimed that it never happened as described, they merely pointed out that the reference goes back much further than most folks realize. That's not to say that some newscaster somewhere couldn't or didn't make that statement, but it does say that a slip of that nature is hardly unique.

But I agree, having a video link would be much more interesting.
