Right now I have been carrying both my iPod and my iWay for my mp3 needs-mainly because I hate spending time changing my music on the iWay. What can I say, I like variety. Rather than building/buying an adapter to connect both the GPS and iPod at the same time so I can hear GPS prompts and listen to the iPod tunes I would like to expand the storage of the iWay.
So my question is can anyone think of a reason that I couldn't pull the drive, grab an image off of it w/ Ghost, DD or something else. Drop the image onto a larger drive--maybe 60GB+ (I would want to find a auto or industrial use drive to handle vibrations). Then after the new drive is imaged, expand the music partion w/ Partition Magic or something similar???
Any thoughts, advice or other resource recommendations are appreciated.
My warranty is about to expire so I'm not concerned about voiding it, but I am concerned about breaking it.
Thanks
Tim
