Thanks to RaffyK my 2720 is finally wired to the bike and is up and operating..now I can go on my cross country run this month to the Hoot and other points without fear of getting lost(LOL!!).
In case anyone else decides to do the map light power source for a Garnin:
Brown = ground brown(violet?)/black = hot
Green/violet is not a power source on my 2005 LT..
Again, many kudos to RaffyK who took the time to call me and guide me through a troubleshooting process which resolved my problems...
Again this just re-affirms that this is a great site for fellow bikers to get help..
