Probably going to be heading to the UK soon for a muti-year assignment. Is it more cost effective to buy the Garmin City Nav Europe software(about $350) for my 2610 Streetpilot...or should I get a different GPS unit when I get over there? Prices seem higher there, so I'm leaning toward just getting the software. Wondering if the Garmin sofware is acceptable...seems like lots of UK folks use Tom-Toms. Thanks in advance,

Try here for $299 http://www.tigergps.com/gacinaeusove.html

I'm sure I saw someone selling it here in the UK for less, will try and figure out where and post back. Version 7 is still extremely usable and up to date and might be a tad cheaper than Version 8.
