Any of you guys going to Americade www.tourexpo.com can find out about the group campsite for BMWs on the Northeast forum.

My wife and I will be there from late Thursday night thru noon on Saturday.
Staying at the Holiday Inn (rally central).

Joe,

You should stop by Heids Hodaka & BMW up in Johnsburg, Rt. 8 west. They were an authorized BMW dealer. Only 10 minutes from Warrensburg. In Johnsburg, take a left fork on garnet lake road 2-3 miles.

As mentioned above, I will be there Wednesday night through Saturday morning and staying at the Holiday Inn. I have the room for Saturday night as part of the 5-day booking requirement they had in place. If someone wants Saturday night, I will sublet.

I rode up today, and I have to tell ya, the Goldwings are in serious trouble up here! I do believe that the V-twins outnumber them this year.

Two best sights today:

1) A backwards trike.... Chevy front wheel drive up to the firewall and goldwing frame and back wheel.

2) a particularly well endowed young lady with the shirt: "My vibrator has two wheels"

Leaving tomorrow (Wednesday) till Sunday.
Looks like there is some rain in the forecast. Should make it cozy.
Staying up in Diamond point. I'll be getting my motolights installed there on Thursday in prep for my Nova trip.
Hope to see some LT's up there.

You guys buying Honda's while there?I have nothing against Hondas...Gold Wings...etc., etc. But it just seems wrong to talk about Americade on bmwlt.com. And I think that's what Dave is referring to with the above question.

I have to agree. I was up there Monday and Tuesday. It is getting louder and louder with all the V-Twins. Soon it will be another Daytona where you can't talk outside. Interesting though, you can look at and test ride the Harleys and Yamahas for free but have to pay to see the BMWs and Hondas! In the vendor area for which they charge you $10 to enter, there was very very little of interest to a BMW owner. Still, it's always fun to see the town filled to capacity with motorcycles.

Saw the backwards trike. Missed the babe.
