Anyone know of any sessions being held in the MD, NOVA, DC area? I want to install my HID (actually, I want to learn how to do it). I've been down to the shop twice for scheduled installs and had bad luck- wrong kit the first time, no wiring harness the second. I've got PIAA lights, but I hear the HID is really what I'm looking for during night riding.

I've just ordered a low beam HID from CQ Lights. It should be in the first part of next week. It will be a first for me. I'm planing on doing an oil and trans service as well as installing a new set of PIAA 004XT in the nose.

HID is the way to go. If you need help, I have done the high and low beam on an 05. Not really that hard. Basic relay wiring.
Let me know.

Thanks for the offer Rick. I've been reading up on it and doing searches in the various forums. The information I've found answered most of my questions. I'll let you know how it turns out. It seems like a fairly simple straight forward install.

I wanted to schedule a second Session at my place in July, but it doesn't look very prospective. I might schedule one in August.
I'd say, go ahead and throw in a date and place. That'll get some interest in people!!

I got the HID installed down in NC (at Dealer). The first one that was shipped was wrong (bungled order on my end). All I can say is "Wow". What a difference. It's hard to explain the light difference. My PIAA lights look weak in comparison, now.
BTW, thanks for the offers to help.

The install for both of these items went smoothly, I only had two screws left over when I put the tupperware back on. I ended up taking the nose off because of other work I was doing and mounting the ballast above the headlight on the shelf that there. Fit real nice. The new PIAA's work great and add quite a bit of light, not to mention what the HID does. I'm very happy with the HID from CQ Lights.

Two screws left over? Check the two locations where the upper lift arms are for the windshield in the silver/gray cover. Just a suggestion. DAMHIK
