BMW is trying to catch HD sales. HD sales have exploded in China. China is HD number one market at present.

What's ironic about this is...I'm looking at a new 4-wheeler for my son (http://www.umamerica.com/Templates/produ_050803235513.aspx?Page_ID=848) at a local BMW shop. And it's made in China...go figure. 3-year warranty!

Simple, really. China is exporting so much stuff that they easily have the funds for discretionary purposes such as HDs. At least the guys running things do, while most of the country is still doing back-breaking manual labor.

That is 36,000 dollars for a BMW R 1200 RT . . .!!

And what is this that BMW is taking a chance - I thought that like in the states individuals secured the business with a hand shake and a contract!!
