I Finally got my lt back after my accident. Dealer did a fine job fixing it. Runs and rides better than before, but Can anyone tell me how to make my MP3 play through my speakers I have the factory sound system the dealer said to hook it up through the h/s ext jack but with no results. Anyone have any Ideas? I bought the bike used so I don't have any documenation.

I don't have the answer for you....but I do have a question or 3.
Are you planning on listening to the MP3 thru the BIKES speakers? If so, are you running the player off the bikes battery?? If not......then I 'm betting that the players battery won't last very long. If you're listening thru speakers in your helmet (ala Autocom) then you'll probably be ok.
Best of Luck to ya.

I could run it off the bike if I need to. Yes Iwould like to listen to it through the bikes speakers. If I did not want to use my bikes speakers I could just use earbuds. My bike has the single cd player not the changer if that makes any differences any ideas would be of great help.

I'm guessing you have the cassette player, so the easiest and cheapest way would be to use a cassette adapter (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=153161). You can buy one at just about any electronic store (ie. Best Buy, RadioShack, Circuit City, etc...).

And without the CD changer, most of the other options are out the window as well. Looks like you're stuck with using an FM transmitter as the only option I can think of at the moment. There are two types: wireless and wired. I have 2 wired FM transmitters that I am going to be selling. PM me for details.

Here's the easiest I found for the Ipod.....- from Kensington. They have a "digital" FM transmitter and it sound great. You can preset 3 stations. I use it on the bike and car. It charges the Ipod while you ride.
Features
* All-in-one digital FM transmitter and charger plays iPod tunes through the car's FM radio.
* Simultaneously charges iPod using the car's DC power source (cigarette outlet).
* Transmits iPod tunes through any available FM radio frequency.
* Simple up/down button speeds frequency selection and three programmable buttons lock in station presets.
* Patented Aerielle wireless technology enhances noise reduction and stereo separation.
* Safety fuse protects iPod from power spikes.

Will this unit work with the Ipod ONLY? I have an IRiver unit I'd like to hook in. Thanks.

I have an FM transmitter I plug directly into the normal stereo output. It runs on a AAA Nickel Metal Hydride battery... for about 12 hours. I'd probably need fuel by then.. Cost? About $20 at Targette.
