Bumpy ride static from cd player

While travelling in Northern Ontario near Timmins where the potholes are bigger than your bike, I caught one I couldn't avoid, right after the music on the LT's CD player became full of static switching to FM the music was fine but back to CD, static, anyone have any ideas, also the mirror compartment in the top case broke off on the right hand corner hinge anyone else have this problem before, but hey the mirrors never budged go figure. Bike is under warranty but thought someone here might have a fix. Its not the cd itself I tried several other CD's same result.

My CD player now works just fine, Still not sure what the problem was, just hope it doesn't return. Going to see if the dealer will replace the vanity mirror broken hinge as its under warranty, if not I'll go with the piano hinge upgrade.
