I lost my rear drive yesterday in Tuba City Az. Not a good place to break had to get it towed to Flagstaff and left it at a bike shop and well pick have to pick it up next week. No BMW dealers near. I well haul it back So.Cal. to get repaired. Maybe next time I tell a dealer that there is metal on the Mag plug they won't say that it is ok. It sure screwed up a trip to Colorado. Jim

Would really like to hear the details behind you telling the dealer you had issues. It sounds as if they said "no, you're fine?" If so, and it's outta warranty, I'd be all over them to fix it.

If I remember correctly, there are two dealers in the Phoenix area.
There is one here in Tucson that has a good repair reputation.
This company, American Motorcycle Transport, here in Tucson, 520-321-0311, has an enclosed trailer for long distance hauling.
Up and back from Flagstaff takes a full day.
I don't know what they would charge to bring your LT to Tucson. Maybe its about the same price as hauling it back to CA?
Is BMW making any contribution to rear end failures, or have they abandoned any responsibility?
