Engine Number

Can someone tell me where to find the engine number on an 06 K1200LT?

On my '04 KRS, it is stamped vertically on the right rear side of the oil pan near where it bolts to the engine block next to the clutch "bellhousing". I believe your LT's numbers should be in the same place, it's the same running gear.

Mine ('05) is just behind my right heel, below the side plate..........I hope that's what it is anyway :confused: !

No, that is the VIN number for the bike. The engine number is stamped in the engine casing, vertically, on the right side at the rear of the engine, where the tranny mounts. You can see it if you look through the hole in the fairing.
