Mine is as follows:
Becky and I heading from El Paso to Las Vegas. On I-40 just east of Flagstaff. I took out the camera to shoot a pic of the snow capped San Francisco Mts. I then turned the camera around and took a quick pic of us scoot'n westward at 80 mph. A true action shot!!!

truth be told i am less interested in the moose than i am in the K1200R shown in your sig line. what's HER story? a hot babe on a beemer in the middle of a desert next to a winnebego. is this some sort of post-apocalyptic fantasy?

My wife and I were on our FIRST real road trip (966 miles, puny by some standards) and on Friday, my 66th birthday, we were on a lonely road between Raton and Taos trying to get some photos in motion, etc. I stopped to let some traffic pass (which had been non-existant BEFORE we tried to take the pictures) and while stopped, Cynthia snapped this one of me. Not really very exciting, but a good shot of our trike.:bmw:

BMW came out with a short movie called "Respect" to promote the K1200R. It was a nasty movie and would be rated at least "R" :o (bear in mind that this was an authorized BMW promo  ) At any rate, the girl was in the movie and this image is a "wall paper" from it. Story is she's "done" with the "hero" in the trailer and going to sneak away on the K-R.
BMW pulled the promo when they got complaints about how racy it was:eek: and, more importantly, because they came to the conclussion that they had missed the target demographics

www.killboy.com (http://www.killboy.com/) took the photos along with hundreds each weekend, you go to the web site, check for your pic, send in the fee per pic, they send you CD disk.
Photo as the bottom, yes that is detour sign in the glare, taken in Southern Georgia while returning from Groveland Fla, RTM/Eat this year... I will downsize it or delete it in few days, was playing with the new feature on the NEW and IMPROVED site.

Guess I'm absolutely hopeless.

Had the Suzuki (2nd one ) since 1994. It qualifies for antique plates this year (30 yrs old). Was working on it and told the wife I was going to the junk yard to get a used faring. She said why don't you just go out and buy a new bike. That was in April 04, got the LT in June. 'nuff said.

On the front end it's only a simple headshot but now y'all have got me thinkin' and tellin' about it. Probably way too much disclosure but here's the gig.
The shot is taken off of a picture of the last visit I had with a cousin of mine who died too soon from cancer. I had made the trip back home on my 2000 Basalt to see him and we had a great reunion. His wife took a shot of the two of us doing a little posing at their cell phone shop. The stuff that looks like a background for a mugshot is shelving material. All in all a pretty clear image of what I is!

Must have been a pretty low budget movie - that looks like a 1978 Winnie motorhome behind her behind. Maybe it just adds to the "trashy" appeal. ;)
Oh yeah, people keep telling me Bruce Willis looks a lot like me. Separated at birth? (Don't I wish.....)

I am trying to figure this one out, 68 HD's didn't have a foot clutch, just the old mouse trap, I can't imagine the police department changing them back to something that hadn't been used in 15 years. And AMF didn't buy HD until December 69 ???

Hey Gary,
It's kind of a joke - an attempt to make a bit of 'lite' of a serious situation. The whole Rocky Mountain area has become a sort of 'bedroom' for wealthier coastal dwellers. We're getting MASSIVE influx of 'yuppy' types moving into what was once wilderness or isolated areas. Destroying the charm that origionaly attracted them. Folks experience at CCR may support this. Did you all know that %90 of the workers in Jackson Hole can't afford to live there? Most live in Idaho and commute.
There was a run a few years back, of a bumper sticker - 'official' looking sherrif's type badge and the tile of "Wyoming Immigration Officer" on it. Sort of a 'grass roots' movement to discourage idealistic 'outsiders' from settling down.
It's our 'job' to ensure everyone considering a move to Wyoming understand what they're getting into. Long winters, lots of wind, persistantly brown vegitation, VERY short growing seasons, minimal services, coyotes, etc, etc. And anything else we can come up with that's at least vaugly related to reality and looks really bad.
And, I'm a Linux user/enthusiast, started a Linux User Group (LUG) with an attempted emphasis on 'install fests'. Hence the Penguin Farming.

A cropped shot of myself among 6 R.C. boat racers.
Actually a photo shot just before this event that was quite the eye opener for those who race R.C. boats. Nitro boats have allways been a lot faster, with the gas boats not even close in terms of speed and handling.
With the gas boats evolving a lot over the past few years this event was a milestone that took the nitro guys by suprize ending the slander of us "Gas" guys running weedwacker engines.
Shot was taken at the end of a race day with the Fastest boats from each class that day competing in a winner take all 6 lap, 1 mile trophy dash.
5 Nitro powered hydros against 1 Gas hydro (Mine) .... I went home with the trophy !
Nitro boats RULE !! ... But not this day.
Regards.

Background: I carry a laminated photo of Salsa on all my dive trips, and try to get at least one underwater shot of her each trip (with fish, seahorses, etc.). On this trip to the Maldives, I decided to get in the photo myself! :)

I don't get it. That's just me on my wedding day, and I thought I looked nice.
Just kidding!
That was me (with E L W O O D in black marker on my knuckles) dressed up for a barbershop chorus performance where all of us dressed as "famous" comedy characters. I think it brought out my "true" character, don't you?! :D

I was riding my '78 R100/7 from Minneapolis, home to Michigan. It was a terrific ride down the "Great River Road" and across Wisconsin farmland. I was aiming for the ferry from Manitowoc, WI to Ludington, MI.
As I road over the crest of the barrier dunes to get to the ferry loading area, I was quite surprised to see about 300 loaded-down, dirty HDs on their way back from Sturgis! These folks were riders too!
My old, black beemer fit right in. I was welcomed with open arms. I do believe I was the ONLY non-HD there that night.
The large photo below was taken by a new Harley friend as we were tying down the bikes on-board the ferry.
I "Cut" my avatar out of this original shot. It always makes me smile thinking about that night with the Harleys :D
