I have the stock BMW Intercom on my LT, and the Nav II GPS.

Both my wife and I can hear each other, and all the other audio components, however only I can hear the audio guidance from the GPS.

What's a guy to do?

Thanks...

I think that's the way that system is supposed to work. I've never asked my wife, but I'd bet she wished our system worked that way. I really can't think of a good reason why the passenger should hear the voice prompts. I guess it's a matter of opinion.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The problem is, if we are having a conversation, and she is talking to me when a voice prompt comes up, her voice is muted to me while the GPS talks. The wife doesn't know she was cut off, because she didn't hear the GPS.

It's quite awkward to have to ask her to repeat herself, and she doesn't know why...

Oh, I see. It is kinda hard listening to two women at once! :D

Exactly!!!!!

So my goal (if possible) is for the wife to hear the Voice Commands as well, so she knows when she is cut off.

Anyone? Buhler? Buhler??? :D

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but with the current BMW comm system you'll never get the GPS where your wife will be able to hear it. It's the way the system is built. You'll just have to explain why you're asking her to repeat herself.

Will BMW ever change it? I dunno.

And just man question here: Why on earth would you ever want your wife to know you're lost??
