I have to go on an unexpected trip to Kansas City, MO from Birmingham, AL and I am considering taking the LT. Does anyone have some must see destinations any route along the way? Any interesting rides in the KCMO area?
Has anyone made a trip to KCMO from Birmingham? What is the best route? There is no easy way to get there, just looking to make the ride interesting.
Thanks,

There are some good roads in Arkansas, but that my be a bit south of your intended route.
This site might list some decent roads -- http://www.motorcycleroads.us/
Let us know what you find!

There are some good BBQ joints in Memphis, along with nightlife, Beale St. that kind of stuff.

The best riding around here is SE MO and NW AR. You will be coming through SE MO to get to KC but those roads can be time consuming. Depending on your timetable will determine how much of that you do. The fastest route from Birmingham to KC is through St.Louis via the interstate. The shortest route is through Memphis,Jonesboro, Mammoth Springs, West Plains, Springfield. If you have the time, do some exploring in SE MO, on many of the Alphabet Roads. A personal favorite is 19 from Mammoth Springs up to Cuba MO. Any road off that one is good as well. Have fun and good luck.
