I'm desirious of charging an iPod using the OEM harness for the removed CD player in L saddlebag. The internal wiring for the Belkin adapter (cigar lighter) is SMALLER than the wires in the OEM plug(s) which MAY mean I'd likely NOT overload the circuit.

So… can anyone identify which wires at the plug connectors for the CD changer are 12V and respective ground ? Here's a pix of the plugs.

Pin 2 in the 3 pin connector.

Caution. The CD changer has power on all the time, regardless of key position. If you tap into this to charge your iPod, you'll likely run the battery down in short order. You're better off using a switched power source, like the dash map light or rear seat heater power.

Oh well.
