I have an 03 LT with about 1 yr left on the warranty and am noticing the rectangular "read out" (screen that indicates CD - AM - FM etc) is begining to show "Fog" around the edges. Proble is... it's on the inside, not outside of the clear plastic. I think if it were outside, I could just wipe it off.
It showed up / I noticed it for the first time durring a 4 day ride where the bike was outside and it rained a lot.
Any suggestions???

Had the same thing happen to me on my old 01. This is a warranty item. Talk to your friendly BMW dealer and they should/will fix it. In my case I got a whole new radio (or so I was told), but there is no point in trying to do something, because once it starts it's gonna come back.

The glass cleaner from rainX will get rid of the foggy. I have the same issue with my radio every time I wash my bike.

Nogill's on the right track - Wile Turkey don't work, neither does Bushmills (but I like it better anyway - not as sweet <g>). Gots me some of that %99 denatured stuff from LeRoy down at the local apothecary. Costs me 'bout a buck-fiddy for a bottle that'd likely do everyone's bike. If we coudl figgure out how to pass it around. Then followed up with some of that turtle wax stuff - works great :thumb:
Did that last year when I got 'er last year - ain't had to touch it since. Yea, an I'm one of them that washes the beastie pert near every weekend too.

After you use the alcohol to get the fogging off put a thin coat of wax on the display and then wipr-off. It will not fog-up again.
