Hi Folks
I'm looking for another 2 x 128mb data cards for the Garmin SPIII if anybody upgraded recently and wants rid of spares. Will consider small cards, or even a 256mb but I gather it slows the SPIII down to a slower crawl when re-routing, but if the price is right :D

Hi Malki,
I do not have it for sale, but would like to understand your comment: is that true that the 256M makes the SPIII slower then if using 128M?

I borrowed a 256mb card for a day, loaded most of UK and Europe and set a route, I deliberately took it off route. to see if it was slow in re-calculating.
It was markedly slower than with a 128mb card, taking over 30 seconds to re-route and get me back on track instead of the usual 10-15 seconds or so, and that was locally. I know the SPIII is slow compared to modern units 2610/2620 etc but I just can't justify buying a new one when this works perfectly well, albeit slowly.
Normally a 30 second delay would not bother me, but I have a trip coming up with strange European Cities involved, and can't afford to wait that long.
I might just have to bite the bullet and go for the next generation Garmin.
For now I need more than the 2 x 128mb's I have.

Thank you Malki. I will re-think about it now :)
