I have a 99 k12lt w/128k on the clock, last fall I putt new wilber shocks on ( thanks to this site for all the info on shock I was able to put them on my self) every since then my gas gage have not worked correctly. when I fill up the gage moves up to the full position then it works normal until it reaches half tank then it doesn't move any farther. Is there something I may have pinched or something when putting the stingray back on? Also I've noticed when filling up and remove the gas cap there is built up preasure in the tank that is released when the cap is removed.

any help you guys can give would be greatly appricated

any help you guys can give would be greatly appricatedIf you removed the tank, you probably trapped the tank vent hose behind the right upper tank mount bushing -- this results in the same symptoms as a clogged charcoal canister. If that is it, after you pull the vent hose clear, you will likely have to pull the fuel level sensor tube out of the tank and beat out the dent in the tube at the 1/2-full height.

didnt remove the tank , could I have still pinch the vent tube ? where does it route? If you pulled the tank back to get at the top nut of the shock, it's possible. The hose runs forward from the rollover valve at the top right side of the tank, to the front right edge of the tank (toward the *inside* of the top right tip of the tank), then down along one of the subframe tubes to the tip-over bar, then back along the tip-over frame towards the back. As the hose passes down over the front corner of the tank, it passes *right* by the tank mount bushing -- it's *very* easy to miss this (lots of folks have -- I even did it once with my first LT.

thanks Mark , I did even tip the tank back , sounds like I could have pinched it either with the stingray or while putting the side tupperwear.
thanks Mark
