CD problem-noise

when i put the c.d and when i put it off then i can hear by its mechanism a strange noise that it can be heard like <<tik tik tik tik>>.Many times it works and i can hear songs but sometimes it shows me the word <<error>> .Whats going wrong?Is it the mechanism that put in and put out the C.D?

Sounds like the optics drive mechanism is sticking. If it's after the cd loads and then the seek motor trys to move the optics out of park and they're getting stuck you'd hear a little tick as the threads on the worm gear jump...Probably need to lube the sliders and the drive mechanism... Especially if it's intermittent then you've not broken anything "yet" but if you let it go it'll finally break something.

You can take it apart and fix it can't you ? :)

You could just pull it and take it to a repair shop..
