Kent Saxton, not sure how many of y'all have met him. I have not met him either, but he was a well know and talked about person on the MTF and was known for his contributions to the LD riding world.

Kent just completed the RAT on his 2003 Honda ST1300 and was in attendance at the MTF Founder Feast. His home is listed in our profile as Anchorage, Alaska. Kent said he planned on touring in the Texarkana area.

Anyone who ever met Kent will remember a free spirited, optimistic, always smiling- with his eyes as well as his mouth- person. If you ever talked to him you will remember him.

He was an experienced & safe rider

Many may remember that he wore a well used Blue "Stitch" and rode a silver St 1300 in the 2005 50CC W to E. and just attended the Founders Feast in Texarkana. He was to meet Gery in Lake Tahoe this week-end.

Don Braziel on the MTF says, "I signed him in from the RAT ride and when I noted his odometer, I saw that he had 128,000 miles on the bike and said that was a lot of miles. Kent laughed and said, "Not really, it's already 2 years old!" That is when he said that he bought it to ride. He was a very interesting guy."

Here's a link to the accident report from Arkansas State Police (http://www.asp.state.ar.us/fatal/index.php?do=view_reports&accident_number=210&year_rec=2006)

These pictures were taken by Gery Marcelino(on the right in the last picture) , Ken't very good friend at the recently concluded RAT.

You always hate to hear about a fellow biker going down. I'm sure that he will be missed by all who knew him. May God give peace to his family.

Accident Report indicates he lost control and veered off the roadway around 11:10am on a dry road surface with clear visibility. No other vehicles involved. Any word on what caused this tragedy?

I live in Mtn. Home AR and ride this stretch of road all the time(Push Mountain Road). It is a very tecnically difficult ride..lots of decreasing radius turns and off camber areas and switchbacks. Also there are areas where gravel is in the road where unpaved roads meet the highway. The thought of the police was that he hit one of these areas and lost control and slammed into the guardrail. This highway reminds me of the dragon.
