Holy cow!.... What a mess..

There must have been a wide open road that crested just before this. This is why I don't like riding in large groups...

IMO, it's better to sub-divide into groups of 4. - That way you don't intimidate the other traffic and you move far more quickly.

How would you get a group that big through a set of traffic lights?

It just keeps going....

It looks like it just kept happening due to the fact these bikes must have been
cresting a crown in the road making for short sight range.

It is really sad if you go through them one by one and see a child about five years old on the bike in front of a rider. Not to mention, all of the riders without helmets.
The pedestrians on the overpass really had a view.
I think it was a Russian group of riders wasn't it?
