The new GT's alternator pumps out 945 watts! That's 85 more than the LT. Wow! I can only hope that the new LT will put out over a thousand.

I would list that as an additional advantage of the GT over the '06 FJR I just purchased. The '06 ups the output to 590 which is just sufficient. 945 would be sweet! (but not worth $8K lol)

Last winter, I upgraded my Ninja's alternator to a 45 amp (620 watt) unit. On my last trip, I was able to run all my Gerbing's (4 pieces), my GPS, my intercom, 2 55-watt halogens with no trouble at all. Your 590-watter should do ya just fine.
