1999 Champagne K1200LT for sale. Has only travelled 60,000 kms and is in A1 condition. Asking price is $15,000 ono. Also have a Uni-go trailer and this may be for sale, if needed. Wouldn't mind keeping the trailer as they may no longer be imported into Oz.

Hi Colin.
I might be interested in the trailer, if you're prepared to let it go at some point.
Hopeful of doing a Tassie trip later this year...
Got any pics of it?
cheers

G'day Col, long time no hear......
Hmmmmm '99 model huh?? 60,000kms uh???? Champagne colour to boot as well...hmmmmm not going to be too many takers there I'm afraid....looks like your going to have to keep riding it till it's at least run in....
Is this all part of the grand master plane to get a 2006 model, as you say you wanna keep that diddy wheeled trailer thingy???...how come they may no longer be imported into Oz??? lack of business ?? as I haven't seen one on the road at all yet...
cheers

Hi Phil
Sorry for the delay in a response but have been too busy at work and no internet at home.
The only reason the bike is for sale is that I have bought a property in Tassi and the drive is too steep and rutted for the bike. The land itself is slippery grass and it would be over in no time.
I would not split the trailer from the bike. If the bike doesn't sell, then I will keep it parked at work and ride with the Ulysseans when I can.
The trailers were originally manufactured in NZ when we were importing them, but Chris sold out to a mob in the US. They have only just started to manufacture (some 18 month to 2 years). We have done some preliminary costing but with the problems with importation and freight from the US you would be looking at somewhere in the vicinity of $7,000 for a new trailer. I don't think the rewards would justify importing them at that price.
Regards
Colin
