Next person who tells me that global warming is here, I will ask "why it doesn't come to the midwest". One week of the SH**IEST weather I can remember for May and...... 5-6 more days until the sun returns.

Believe me, you're not alone. We are under flood warnings here in parts of New England - over 13" of rain this past weekend in some areas. That doesn't count the week of rain we've had before the weekend. And the forecast for the upcoming next few days doesn't look all that great either, unless you consider "showers" an improvement over "rain".

Fortunately, I got two longish rides in already this year. I've been down to northern GA twice already...and missed get too too wet somehow. The forecast is looking pretty bleak for all this week though...:(

Come on down to FlatLand and enjoy year round riding!
Only trade offs are:
Lovebugs
Snowbirds
Vacation traffic
Humidity
Drivers whos heads no-longer turn
Turn Signals that are never used
Gas Gouging
Stop signs are suggestions
Straight Roads
SUNSHINE!

and that, in a nutshell defines the difference between climate and weather. Climate is what happens to the whole system, weather is what happens in your back yard

And the average "climate" of our nation has raised a whole whopping 1° over the last 100 years. Better LOOK OUT! SUNSCREEN IN DECEMBER.....in OHIO!!! By the year . . . 5047 A.D. :D :D :D

In the meantime, with all this rain I'm going to ask my neighbor if he would bale my front yard for me. While he's doing his hay fields he might as well do my yard.

It is just giving you time to test the wet weather gear, before you depend on it on a LD trip.

Looks like Calif. is the place to ride this week. It is beautiful and in the 70's here and I have Wed. and Thur. off to enjoy it.
