I know it isn't a lot by most standards on the forum, but I've enjoyed every one of them. Just got back from Asheville where we went for the weekend to visit friends and noticed as I was on my side street I have put over 5,000 miles on the bike (for a total of 21.7) in the past two months that I've owned it. I moved up from my K75S because my wife just wasn't very comfortable and it limited our ride times as she likes to go along. The LT has absolutely exceeded our expectations and I have gotten to ride all I had hoped. We've done about half of that together, and even as a solo ride the LT performs.
FWIW here are my likes and gripes:
Likes: Great for 2 up (spacious with the top box moved back and plenty of power); comfortable for both of us (even with stock seats and can go from tank to tank without stopping if necessary); cruise control (never thought I'd use it, now can't live without it on the super slab); adjustable windshield; looks (it is eye catching and gathers compliments like June bugs on the shield); weather protection (got caught in 3 thunderstorms today and only got mildly damp even without proper rain gear); heated seats and grips; suspension soaks up the bumps; can ride both slabs and twisties with ease and go all day. Julie adds that we've met the nicest people riding LTs and I agree.
Gripes: Absolutely had to add the HID low beam to see anything at night; need the Ohlin shock upgrade when I can afford it (tired of scraping the center stand, pegs, and who knows what else even at full adjustment and solo - you can lay it over without fear, but it'll let you know - I'd like a little more lean); jury is still out on the 6 CD changer (nice, but I don't use it often and could use the room more); first gear is too tall (it'll make you sweat when 2 up stopped on an incline - don't know how to fix that).
Sorry I don't have more to complain about to make it sound all nice and balanced. There's more positive to say, but its all been said before, I'm just so pleased with the LT, I had to go there again.
