:) Yesterday, myself, Don Norwood, Dave Adler and Bruce Harris left Chattanooga and rode to Butler, Alabama (close to it) and had lunch at Ezelle's Catfish House (spelling). We ate catfish and froglegs while watching the waters of the Tombigbee Waterway go gently by. We caught up with Fletcher Clark at the restaurant as he was there with another big group.
Dave, Fletcher and Bruce rode on to Fletcher's house as Fletcher and Bruce were going to do the Ride Across Texas and Dave was riding back to Chicago today. Me and Don pulled into Chattanooga about 11:30 last night after Don took us the LONG way back; it was a lot of fun! After passing many of the local folks cooking BBQ and the such in their front yards I was getting kind of hungry again!
I must say that I enjoyed my first "kinda-long-distance" RTE.
If you are a part of this board and choose not to participate in any of the rides/events that are posted you are cheating youselves out of some great rides and chances to get to know your fellow LTers. I can vouch for the ones who I have the chance to meet over the past two years and I can say that they are some "good" folks! :bmw:
