This evening around 7.15PM. Canyon Red (I think, becuase, I was pulling down the helmet flip and the sun was in my eyes) K1200 LT southbound on the County Parkway near Rugby Road. I was northbound on the CR LT (Twin USA flags attacjed on the radio/CB antennae).
We both waved at each other!!

If you are ever on the dreaded 66 commute around 6 - 6:30am, watch for a silver streak - more often just look for the crawl. :(

Born and raised in Fairfax. Grew up in Pine Ridge just of Prosperity Avenue. Last lived in Manassas and did the commute to DC down 66. You are either a very brave person to do that on a bike or have a death wish. Gotta tell you I love living in Kentucky with all the hills and curves and alot less assholes on the road.
Good luck!!!

No death wish, just sick of an 1:45min - 2:15 commute, HOV takes about 50 - 1:10min. Gas costs $15 instead of $70. I rode a Vulcan 1500 that really sucked on the ride, so I bought a bike that would be a pleasure and the brakes are AWESOME!!! I ride like I have a bobble head, look out for the make up appliers, Moms in mini vans and Excursions and the 70K+ cars because they have more right than you to be on the road  . But I put the sidecar on for the weekends and take the family for cruze in the Shanandoahs - makes life here a little better.
Smart move to get the heck away from here. Picture 6800 family units around Nissan Pavilion.
